Registration
INSTRUCTIONS
New "Parents or Guardians" must set up a "member account". Once this is established, they will enter "relations" with the player/players they intend to register for this 2024 season. They will be required to enter their information, such as name, contact #'s, address, birthdate. You will be required to enter the children's information.
Once you get to the "upload documents" section, you can upload a birth certificate (can be uploaded in a .jpeg or .pdf format) as proof of age.
Please see the chart above for the appropriate division with the birth years beside the description of the divisions, for those who are unsure of which division to select.
Select "New Registration" to begin the 2024 registration process
The list of all divisions will be presented. Please select the appropriate division for each child (one at a time).
Select the family member that particular registration product is for.
The software will only allow you to pick the division for the age your child allows them to be in. For example, John Doe, born in 2008, will only have U17 division to be eligible for once selected.
Select "New Registration" for each member of your family (if applicable)
Once all information is inputted into the on-line registration, documents are uploaded, the payment section is next.
All players must be paid in full before they will be allowed on the floor.
**Proof of vaccination is no longer required!** The OLA will not require proof of vaccination at the time of each participant’s registration, but will continue to encourage health and safety measures for sport which are supplied by Ontario Public Health.
2024 POLICY AND REFUND STATEMENT
At the GSLA, we understand that after registration personal circumstances may change and participation in the lacrosse season may not be possible. While we’d love nothing more than for you to participate, the GSLA remains flexible to allow for a reasonable period of time following registration for a registration to be withdrawn, while still safeguarding the long-term financial stability of the GSLA.
Registration refund requests are addressed by program as follows:
The OLA Fees are a portion of your registration fee provided directly to the Ontario Lacrosse Association. This $35 fee covers several items, including OLA Insurance, OLA Magazine, Registration Software and the OLA Registrar. The GSLA has no ability to negotiate these fees nor the ability to reimburse them. There is also a $15 administration fee at the club level.
Extenuating Circumstances
The above notwithstanding, in the event of special or extenuating circumstances requests for refunds will be reviewed at the discretion of the GSLA President. Supporting documentation may be requested.
Fundraising & Sponsorship On an individual team basis, teams may attempt to raise funds to assist the team in covering the costs associated with the season. The GSLA is not responsible for any monies paid to a team, team coach or team official individually, through sponsorship and/or fundraising efforts and shall not entertain requests for any such refunds.
Making a Request
All refund requests can be submitted to the GSLA Registrar via email (rockhoundslacrosse@gmail.com). Please allow 4-6 weeks for refunds to be processed. All refunds will be issued either by refunding credit card or via cheque which must be made payable to the parent / guardian of the applicable participant. No refunds will be issued in the event the participant borrowed equipment belonging to GSLA until it is returned in acceptable condition.
If you received a free stick during your registration and request a refund, you will receive your fee minus $70 (OLA fees, administration fees and the cost of the stick).
