Sudbury Rockhounds Lacrosse CLUB

Another fantastic Rockhounds season has drawn to a close.

Great memories were made across all divisions with the following highlights:

U22s winning the Provincial Championships & U9s making a deep run

U13s winning gold in Sudbury and Silver in Oshawa

U7s getting first game action in Mimico

U11s building memories

U5s having a blast with our friends at Nickel City Ninjas

and let's not forget the return of the Nickel City Shootout!

This year couldn't happen without the development that took place in our house league program.  All players showed a tremendous amount of heart, hard work and dedication and we wish we could spotlight you all.

We want to ensure that we thank our volunteers, coaches and referees who facilitated player enjoyment and development, as well as the parents & guardians who ensured every player could enjoy our great sport.

Stay tuned for information on when our AGM will be, but in the meantime, take a look back on some of the highlights from the past year!

As the U11 Rockhounds gear up for the provincials, they had a surprise team building event hosted by our friends at the Nickel City Ninjas

U9 Friendlies

A big thank you to our friends from Huntsville making the trek to Sudbury this weekend for a pair of friendly games.

The skills the kids learned throughout the weekend were on display in two hard fought games with the first ending in a 3-3 tie and the second Sudbury just squeaking out a 4-2 win.

After the games, players from both teams were all smiles, which is really what it is all about!

This week's spotlight is on one of our U5 players who has been following the sport since before she could walk: Raina

We wouldn't be the Rockhounds without our players, coaches, volunteers and referees and we want you to know how important you are to us!

Outdoor Fun

After putting in hard work at the Nickel City Shootout and the Ray Broadworth Memorial Tournament the past two weekends, the U11 squad took their practice outdoors Monday for a parents & siblings vs. kids game.

Beautiful weather and a great lacrosse family made this a memorable time for all involved.

A big thank you goes out to Coach Pat and the Nickel City Ninja team for bringing some big smiles to our littlest players' faces.

U7s show the biggest Spirit in a weekend full of Action

Many of our U7 squad had their first taste of game action as they participated in the J.R. Robinson Friendly Tournament in Mimico this weekend. They came away all smiles with the effort they put in representing their hometown.

The U11s, U13s & U15s were all in action in the Jim Leworthy tournament in Milton and the U22s fell just shy of a championship comeback earning silver in the Hogtown tournament.
